LORD NELSONS (marine court hotel)

This bar/ restaurant, which is part of the Marine Court Hotel, is just basically a place where you can go for a meal or a quiet drink when you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the town. It is also an appropriate place for couples to go as the lighting is dim and you can hear yourself talk. Unlike the other bars it is situated on the seafront and with it's large windows it means there is a good view overlooking the Marina.

THE WINDSOR

This bar is situated alongside Lord Nelsons although the atmosphere is much like that of the other bars in Bangor i.e., it is very busy, especially at the weekends. It is mainly a young crowd who socialize here in the evenings. However during the day it is a good place to have a quiet drink or a meal in as the bar has the added advantage of a pool table and is not so busy at this time.

THE ROYAL HOTEL

This is a bar/restaurant in the hotel complex that is much like Lord Nelsons. Quiet with a mainly older crowd. I find this is a very good place in which to meet family and friends in on a Sunday whether it is to have a meal or a drink. . However sometimes in the evenings it can get quite busy and there is no entertainment here but nevertheless it is well worth a visit.

This is another hotel that has a bar/restaurant in it. This bar is one that is very much suited to those of you who enjoy a quiet drink in a warm cosy atmosphere.
